Hot Shots
Wedding photography is going through something of a revolution. Traditional photography is time consuming and can influence the schedule of your whole wedding. Thus many couples are employing the services of documentary photographers who remain totally unobtrusive and capture the genuine moments of love, laughter and kinship that all weddings create.
I shoot in an entirely documentary style, offering barely any distraction to the couple over the course of the day. I do my best to remain an observer, floating around, camera in hand, capturing the real story as it unfolds. Recording wonderful images for posterity. If at the end of the day the wedding couple say to me "we barely noticed you were here." then I know I've done a good job.
Your wedding will be an incredible event. A day quite unlike any other, where lasting memories will be created - memories that remain with you for the rest of your life. I'd love to be the one who photographs it for you.
Packages from $3995 - $7995
Every wedding is unique and we will tailer a package to meet your individual needs. We have made an effort to avoid the standard "bolt-on" services many photographers employ, whereby you pay per hour, per album and per print. - The result being many couples do not realise the final expense until after their wedding when they are hit with the bill. All our packages include Alex's time for the whole day and late into the evening (when the fun really starts!).
Formal group photographs.
I realise that at every wedding the bride & groom will want a few formal shots of their bridal party, close family & friends. As I always work with a colleague, one of us will shoot the formal groups while the other carries on shooting the candid imagery. We try and keep this to around 6 or 7 groups, in 20 mins. Similarly, we will always make time to capture a group shot of the couple with their entire party of guests.
Perhaps the most important photograph of the day is the enduring image of the bride & groom together. This is the shot that will grace the cover of your album and probably your parents wall! This is the image that will be on display all day, everyday, so its important to give it the time it deserves. To achieve this I take the couple aside for half an hour away from the crowds and concentrate on just the two of them alone. It usually involves a short walk along the beach, or a stroll through the gardens of the venue. It's always an enjoyable diversion from the "chaos" of the day. Its also a chance to get close, to gather your thoughts - and will probably be the only time you get to yourselves all day!
